Survivor Forum III Speakers – July 30, 2008

In July 2004 we did something that had never previously been done at an Awareness Night Meeting at the Toronto Botanical Garden; instead of a doctor speaking about prostate cancer, we asked survivors from our own support group to speak.

Each man told the audience his own personal story, including how he was diagnosed and how he arrived at his treatment decision. We called it our first-ever Survivor Forum. Questions from the audience followed our refreshment break.

That evening proved to be so successful that Survivor Forum II occurred in July 2006 and Survivor Forum III recently took place on Wednesday July 30, 2008.
